Definition
Distinguishing Characteristics
Under general direction, responsible for daily operations of assigned copy center(s) each producing 200,000 or more copies per month. Receive, prioritize and process work orders; resolve production conflicts; maintain production and cash sales records; prepare materials for billings and perform routine equipment maintenance. Regularly assign, instruct and check the work of others; assist in performance evaluation of others.
A level - Coordinate daily operations of a single copy center.
B level - Coordinate daily operations of two or more copy centers.
Typical Work
Receive and evaluate work orders to establish and assign job priorities; work with clients and staff at other copy centers to meet production requirements and deadlines;
Maintain positive client relations;
Maintain work records and prepare reports;
Operate cash register; maintain cash account and billing records;
Operate photocopy and related equipment; check performance of equipment and perform regular diagnostic and maintenance tasks such as changing photoreceptor belts and dicortrons and replacing memory circuit boards; schedule maintenance and service calls as required;
Order supplies and maintain inventory;
Perform duties of Copy Machine Operator Lead;
Perform related duties as required;
In addition at the B level:
Monitor work volume and review work orders at assigned copy centers; reassign staff and/or jobs between centers to meet production deadlines and optimize productivity.
Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to: learn to operate office machines within a reasonable length of time; understand oral and written instructions; perform repetitive clerical duties.

There may be instances where individual positions must have additional licenses or certification. It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure the appropriate licenses/certifications are obtained for each position.
Desirable Qualifications
A level: High school graduation or GED certificate
AND
six months of experience operating high volume copy equipment or equivalent.
B level: One year of experience as Copy Center Lead A or equivalent.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
