Percent High School Graduates

Population Age 25 and Above, 2000

In 2000, 87.1 percent of Washington residents age 25 and above were high school graduates or equivalent.

San Juan (94.4%), Whitman (92.8%), and Island (92.1%) counties had the highest percentages of high school graduates.

Adams (63.3%), Franklin (63.5%), and Yakima (68.7%) had the lowest.

 

Percent Holding Bachelor's or Higher Degree

Population Age 25 and Above, 2000

In 2000, 27.7 percent of Washington residents age 25 and above held bachelor's or higher degrees.

Whitman (44.0%), San Juan (40.2%), and King (40.0%) counties had the highest percentages of residents age 25 and above holding bachelor's or higher degrees.

Adams (12.2%), Pend Oreille (12.3%), Grays Harbor (12.7%), and Lewis (12.9%) had the lowest.
