- Between 1997 and 2005, Washington exports an average of $35 billion of goods per year.
- In 2006, the total exports exceeded $53 billion, due largely to a 60 percent increase in the export of transportation equipment compared to 2005.
- Transportation equipment, primarily aircraft and parts, accounted for about 63 percent of exports in 2006.
- Washington has consistently ranked in the top five states in exports during the last decade.
