Medical Insurance Data Tabulations

The Washington State Population Survey uses administrative counts of the Medicaid population in addition to other demographic characteristics to weight the data. The tabulations for the 2008 survey use the new weights developed as a result of the 2007-2008 Westat studies. Tabulations for the 2006, 2004, and 2002 Washington State Population Surveys use the old medical weighting methodology (see Accounting for Medicare and Medicaid Recipients (pdf); the new weights are available for the 2006 survey). The 1998 and 2000 tabulation reflect the original demographic weighting methodology (although the old medical weights are available for the 2000 survey).
