How does my organization apply to host an AmeriCorps program?

When AmeriCorps grant funding is available, the WCNCS administers a Request for Grant Application (RFGA) process to solicit applications from eligible organizations interested in hosting a twenty (20) member program. The next anticipated AmeriCorps grant competition will begin in the fall of 2009 to support AmeriCorps programming beginning the fall of 2010. To ensure that your organization receives notification of future grants opportunities, please register your program to receive e-mail notification when funding opportunities become available.

What if my organization doesn’t want an entire team, but only one or two AmeriCorps members?

If you are interested in hosting one or more AmeriCorps members, you may contact an AmeriCorps program in your area or a statewide intermediary to determine if a partnership may be feasible. Many intermediaries conduct an annual application process and may require a financial cost-share. Refer to the AmeriCorps Program Directory for a listing of programs in your county.
