Benefits Administration & Insurance Accounting System (BAIAS)
On December 5, 2008, the Health Care Authority (HCA) shut down its Benefits Administration and Insurance Accounting System (BAIAS) project. The decision was based on the state's severe revenue shortfall, and the likelihood that HCA would be unable to secure funding for the project.
