Public records toolbox
Governor Gregoire asked state agency public records officers to “work with people who request electronic copies of non-exempt public records and whenever possible, satisfy these requests”.
As a result, a work group for public records disclosure of electronic records was formed to develop draft best practices to help agencies satisfy public records disclosure requests in an electronic format in a way that is consistent, complete, timely, and cost effective. The work group, supported by the Department of Information Services, consists of agency representatives with legal, public records, and technology backgrounds.
