Current Funding Populations

State Funding Populations for Local Governments

The Office of Financial Management's (OFM) April 1 population determinations are used in many programs for revenue distribution and for program administration. This site and the Annexations and Municipal Boundary Changes site contain the most current OFM official figures for program administration and funding. See also Population Estimates: Process, Methods, and Accuracy.

OFM's April 1, 2000 population estimates are now replaced by the Census 2000 decennial counts. Decennial counts are from the Public Law 94-171 file. The 2000 census counts have been adjusted for annexations through April 1, 2000 and some certified state counts for local jurisdictions on April 1, 2000.
