Please Note

Annexations and adjusted city populations are used in the quarterly allocation of selected state collected-locally shared revenues. Adjusted populations are hybrid population figures that are developed for selected quarterly revenue distributions. Adjusted populations are NOT the state's official annual April 1 population figures. Only the state's official April 1 populations are used in the distribution of Sales Tax Equalization funds to local governments.

Reports for 2000 - 2001

Population base is April 1, 2000, revised. Note: The first and second quarterly annexation reports have been revised. OFM's April 1, 2000 population estimates are now replaced by the Census 2000 decennial counts as the population base. Decennial counts are from the Public Law 94-171 file. The 2000 census counts have been adjusted for annexations through April 1, 2000 and some certified state counts for local jurisdictions on April 1, 2000. Annexations that were found to be within federal census boundaries and were effective and/or approved after April 1, 2000 were edited to zero population/housing and labeled "Historical."
