SUBSECTION 4.2.7.2
LODGING, SUBSISTENCE AND MILEAGE RATES

4.2.7.2.1 Schedules - General Effective Date: Sept. 1, 1998

OFM maintains the following three schedules that provide lodging, subsistence, and mileage rates for state officials and employees traveling on official state business(RCW 43.03.050):

SCHEDULE A: LODGING, SUBSISTENCE, AND MILEAGE RATES FOR THE CONTINENTAL USA. (4.2.7.2.2) PDF File

SCHEDULE B: HIGH COST LODGING AND SUBSISTENCE RATES FOR THE CONTINENTAL USA. (4.2.7.2.3)

SCHEDULE C: HIGH COST LODGING AND SUBSISTENCE RATES FOR THE CONTINENTAL USA AND FOREIGN. (4.2.7.2.4)

4.2.7.2.1.a These three schedules are subject to periodic revisions by OFM based upon changes to source documents produced by three separate agencies of the federal government.

4.2.7.2.1.b SCHEDULE A is included in the State of Washington Financial and Administrative Policies, Regulations, and Procedures manual. Revisions to SCHEDULE A will be sent to manual holders by an OFM Directive for insertion in the manual, specifically under this Subsection 4.2.7.2, "Lodging, Subsistence, and Mileage Rates."

4.2.7.2.1.c SCHEDULES B and C are not included in the State of Washington Financial and Administrative Policies, Regulations, and Procedures manual.

Subsections 4.2.7.2.3 and 4.2.7.2.4 reference Internet sites that may be accessed to obtain lodging and subsistence allowances for travel to High Cost Locations Continental USA (SCHEDULE B) and High Cost Location Non Continental USA and Foreign (SCHEDULE C).

State agencies with no access to the Internet and limited travel in foreign and Non Continental areas may wish to contact their OFM Accounting Division Consultant or Travel Policy Consultant to obtain the current rates for localities contained in SCHEDULE B or SCHEDULE C.

4.2.7.2.3 SCHEDULE B Effective Date: Sept. 1, 1998

4.2.7.2.3.a High Cost Locations - Continental USA - Per diem allowances for High Cost Locations are usually revised annually and can be accessed on the Internet at the following addresses:

4.2.7.2.3.b State agencies with no access to the Internet may wish to contact their OFM Accounting Division Consultant or Travel Policy Consultant to obtain the current rates for localities contained in SCHEDULE B.

4.2.7.2.4 SCHEDULE C Effective Date: Sept. 1, 1998

4.2.7.2.4.a High Cost Locations - Non Continental USA and Foreign Locations - Per Diem allowances for Foreign Locations, Alaska, Hawaii, and US Possessions are revised monthly and can be accessed on the Internet at the following address:

4.2.7.2.4.b State agencies with no access to the Internet and limited travel in foreignand Non Continental areas may wish to contact their OFM Accounting Division Consultant or Travel Policy Consultant to obtain the current rates for localities contained in SCHEDULE B or SCHEDULE C.
