1The calendar year in which levies are collected. Voter approval of levies is required in one of the four prior calendar years.
2Levy election results are those reported to SPI by county auditors.
3Enrollments shown for 1975-85 are October full-time equivalent (FTE) students for the prior calendar year. Enrollments shown for 1986-1997 are annual average FTE students for the prior school year.

Note: Special levies, also known as excess levies, are collected the calendar year after election. In 1976, Constitutional Amendment No. 64 was passed, allowing levy collection to cover two years instead of one. This change took effect for levies passed in 1977 and collections for 1978 and 1979. In 1997, Constitutional Amendment No. 90 was passed, allowing levy collection to cover four years instead of two. This change took effect for levies passed in 1998 and collections for 1999 through 2002.
