Fiscal year ends on August 31 except prior to 1978 when the fiscal year ended on June 30.
Beginning on January 1, 1975, regular property tax is collected by the state and is shown as a state fund. Local property tax shown for this and subsequent years is special levy revenue only.
Effective September 1, 1981, school districts no longer received County Real Estate Transaction Tax. The responsibility for collecting those revenues was transferred to the Washington State Department of Revenue. The funds continue to be used to support K-12 education.
Fiscal Year 1979 was beginning of the basic education funding formula and property tax levy limits.
Fiscal Year 1999 budget excluding extensions.
