Natural Resources
Washington was built on family farms and forests, on fishing and boating, and on the values of clean air, clean water and access to open spaces. Governor Gregoire is committed to protecting our natural resources and the jobs and recreation that flow from those resources.
She is taking the lead on restoring Puget Sound, improving profitability and predictability for our farmers and family forest landowners and investing in parks to improve services for visitors. She will help Washington farmers grow our next energy crops and ensure fuel quality to help our state develop energy independence.
