Agency Activity Inventory and Performance Measures

The Agency Activity Inventory summarizes the major activities of each budgeted agency within Washington State government. Individual descriptions address the nature of the service, what clients are involved, the expected results, and the estimated activity cost assumed in Governor Gregoire's 2005-07 budget proposal. In many cases, the assignment of the costs of new budget items to activities is an estimate. Agencies will have the opportunity to reassign these costs to the proper activities after the budget is enacted.

For the 2005-07 Biennium, agencies will develop and report on performance measures which show the results of agency activities. This activity inventory presents the new activity-based approach to performance measures. A few agencies are still in the process of developing new activity measures to be tracked in the 2005-07 Biennium. The inventory will be updated to include these additional measures at a later date.
