The Priorities of Government

Result Team Reports

The work of the Priorities of Government process happens in the Results Teams. For each of the ten result areas, a team of six to ten subject-matter experts from the executive branch of government, led by staff from the Governor's budget or policy office, is established.

Team members are asked to think of themselves as agents for Washington's citizens, thinking beyond the scope and interests of just their agency to take a statewide, citizen-centered perspective of the result area. Their ultimate task is to craft a purchase plan that will best deliver the assigned result to citizens, both short-term and long-term.

This job is made more manageable by breaking the work into pieces that are presented for review to a guidance team. Detailed descriptions of the team assignments can be found here:
