These data are taken from the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), which was designed by the National Center for Statistics and Analysis (NCSA) of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The Washington State FARS team provides local data to the national FARS system. The team makes use of records from multiple sources.
