Description:

Percentage of County Freight and Goods Roads 
Defined as Adequate

Adequacy is defined by the Cost Responsibility Study--All Weather Roads. Deficiencies include roadway width (which affects safety and ease of operation) and structural adequacy (the ability of pavement and base to support heavy loads).

The percentage defined as adequate increased slightly from 39.6 to 40.1% in 2008.
