Average Peak Travel Times On Ten Key Puget Sound Morning Commutes: in Minutes

Figures show the change in peak travel times along ten key Puget Sound morning commutes between 2004 and 2006. Peak travel times are calculated from weekday averages for the most congested commute periods. Reliable travel time is an estimated travel time with 95 percent certainty (i.e., a commuter will reach their destination within this time 95 percent of the time).

Example: The average peak travel time for the Redmond to Bellevue commute (SR 520/I-405) decreased from 9 to 8 minutes; traffic volumes along this commute increased by 1 percent.
