2011-13 Agency Activity Inventory
The Agency Activity Inventory summarizes activities of each budgeted agency within Washington State government. Individual activity descriptions tell the nature of the service, the expected results, and how the activity was funded in the enacted 2011-13 budget. In the inventory, each activity is assigned to the statewide result area to which it most contributes. Activity descriptions can be viewed by statewide result area or by individual agency.
2011 Note: The Governor and Legislature have consolidated, merged, and transformed state agencies to gain efficiences and cut costs. Changes to agencies are summarized below:

Changes to Washington State Agencies, 2010-11 (return to top of the page)
Washington State has made a number of mergers, consolidations and reforms to state agencies to gain efficiences and cut costs. The following list shows discontinued agencies and departments and transfers of major Activities among agencies.
- General Administration became part of new Department of Enterprise Serivces
- Home Care Quality Authority functions were transferred to the Home Care Referral Registry
- Indeterminate Sentence Review Board moved to the Department of Corrections
- Department of Information Services had portions move to new agencies (Enterprise Serivces and Consolidated Technology Services) and to the Office of Financial Management
- Marine Employees' Commission became part of the Public Employment Relations Commission
- Master licensing for business licenses was moved from the Department of Licensing to the Department of Revenue
- Medicaid expenditure authority was merged with other health care purchasing in the Washington State Health Care Authority, moving from the Department of Social and Health Services
- Municipal Research Council moved to the Department of Commerce
- Department of Personnel functions moved to Enterprise Serivces and the Office of Financial Management
- The State Printer became part of Enterprise Serivces
- Sentencing Guidelines Commission had duties shift to the Caseload Forecast Council and Office of Financial Management
- Spokane Intercollegiate Research and Technology Institute (SIRTI) - became part of Innovate Washington
- Operation of the Washington Convention and Trade Center shifted to a public facilities district.
