The Office of Financial Management (OFM) establishes and maintains the state accounting standards, regulations, procedures, records, and reports that promote sound business practices while providing accurate financial reporting.
Statewide Accounting Services, within the Accounting Division of OFM, is responsible for coordinating with all state agencies and national accounting standard-setting organizations and assures that the State of Washington is in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the latest accounting pronouncements or interpretations.
